Miss British Island mistook Chavit Singson to President Duterte

2016 Miss British Island Erika Creque uploaded a photo of her and former governor Chavit Singson and mistook him as President Rodrigo Duterte.

In an interview with Mario Dumaual of ABS-CBN News, Creque admitted her mistake and she corrected it. She was embarrassed but it turned out as a blessing because Filipinos showed her support and love.

“Yes, I was. It was an honest mistake and I do apologize. And I fixed it,” said Creque. “It was quite embarrassing but then, you know, I gained much more fans and more love from the Filipino people."
